Nestled in the stunning mountain scenery of the Allgäu region, Lake Großer Alpsee near Immenstadt is the largest natural lake in the area, covering approximately 2.5 km². It is a popular destination for swimmers, water sports enthusiasts, and nature lovers alike. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable visitor experience right from the moment of arrival, Bremicker Verkehrstechnik GmbH has installed a modern, camera-based parking system at this beautiful location.
Two LPR cameras per lane capture vehicles from both the front and rear. This redundant license plate recognition provides additional operational reliability, particularly during challenging winter conditions. Upon arrival, visitors are welcomed by a large 55-inch information display. The system shows real-time parking availability, explains the parking process, and provides situation-specific guidance. A central payment station accepting cash, along with two additional compact cashless payment terminals, offers visitors convenient and easily accessible payment options. At the exit, the EMS-ECO DriveUp, featuring an integrated 10-inch display, guides visitors through the departure process and allows any outstanding parking fees to be paid directly from the vehicle.
Ticketless for visitors. Guaranteed payment for operators.
For the parking operator, the barriers provide a key advantage: Vehicles can only exit once the parking fees have been paid. This eliminates the need to pursue unpaid parking sessions during normal operation.
What makes this project particularly special to us?
It's not any single component, but the seamless interaction between camera technology, intelligent system control, visitor information, and convenient payment options. A truly successful reference project in a breathtaking setting – and a great example of the potential modern camera-based parking systems have to offer.
A big thank you to our partner Bremicker Verkehrstechnik GmbH for the successful planning, installation, and commissioning, as well as the excellent collaboration!
