Laundrettes and washrooms

The self-serviced payment solutions from Beckmann enable a time-, consumption- or program-controlled operation of washing machines and dryers. The robust construction in combination with RFID-technology leads to a high resistance to vandalism and water in harsh cleaning applications. In addition to a simple, intuitive operation, these payment solutions offer extensive payment options.

Scalable solutions with flexible media

From simple coin machines and multi-device controls, via contactless prepaid-tickets and value-cards for cashless payment at RFID-terminals up to central cash systems for the direct control of washing machines and dryers - our product platform portfolio offers a fitting solution to every operator regarding costs, functionality and the given infrastructure. With the optional sale of detergents as powders, liquid or tabs all requirements of an autonomous self-service laundrette can be covered.

Operation with coins & tokens

The coin machines of the EMS-5x and EMS-8x series are used for the classic coin payment of one device - the machines of this series cover a broad range of coin validators, housing designs and functions. The multi-device controls of the EMS-1040 and EMS-1080 series enable the coin payment of up to 8 devices. After the program time has elapsed, an optional door opening pulse is available. Optionally, the EMS-800 cash system can be used to sell tokens or to enable a coin exchange of banknotes.

Cashless operation with prepaid RFID-tickets (OFFLINE)

By using preloaded RFID-tickets, the effort for operators and customers can be minimized: The operator hands out preloaded and preprinted RFID-paper-tickets to the user. The credit, e.g. an amount of €uros or a defined number of uses is stored locally on the ticket. This eliminates the need for complex internet or server connections, and no ongoing transaction fees are incurred for payment processing. After holding a ticket to the RFID-terminal, credit is debited from the ticket and the connected washing machine or dryer is powered for the stored time period. If the credit is expended, these tickets can be simply disposed of. This reduces the costs for handling (no card return and deposit repayment necessary) and purchase (no cash system necessary).

Operation with reloadable RFID-value-cards (OFFLINE)

At the cash system EMS-800, RFID-value-cards can be bought, loaded and dispensed for a subsequent use as a cashless payment medium. The credit, e.g. an amount of €uros or a defined number of uses is stored locally on the RFID-plastic-card. By holding a loaded value-card to the RFID-terminal, credit is debited from the card and the connected washing machine or dryer is powered for the stored time period. The RFID-value-card can be recharged at the cash system at any time or refunded against payment of the card deposit.

Cashless operation with bank-/creditcards (ONLINE)

The system family EMS-1080 is developed for the central control of up to eight washing machines or dryers. The payment can be transacted up to an amount of 25€ with bank- or credit cards at the micropayment-terminal. An on-site internet connection is required for payment processing so that the transaction can be carried out via the terminal provider.

Central payment and direct control

A central payment can be realized with the cash system EMS-4000: By connecting up to 320 washing machines or dryers via relay boxes, the device-start can be activated directly at the cash system EMS-4000. This eliminates any additional payment media and local payment technology at the devices. Extensive payment options and accessories are available, e.g.a dispenser for powder and liquid detergents, an integrated dispenser for detergent tabs or an external screen display for the visualization of the current machine occupancy and remaining time.
